The Alliance Coin & Banknote Sale
Almonte's third annual public Coin Auction!
Several hundred lots up for offer, including a diverse selection of our famous “Odd & Curious” Medals, Tokens and assorted Collectibles.
Terms of Sale
This is a “no buyers premium” sale; successful bidders pay only the hammer fee, and any applicable postage and taxes
Bidders must be pre-registered in order participate in our sale. Bids may be submitted in person during the live sale, or in advance by telephone, fax or email, as well as online using the “bid now” feature of our website.
Advance bids will be accepted until 6:00 pm Ottawa time, on Saturday August 17th, at which point existing high-bids will be used as opening bids in our live sale. If a bid is received in excess of our estimate, and there are no lower bids, that bid will be reduced to estimate.
In the absence of advance bids, lots will generally be opened up for bidding at 50% of the low-estimate. The auctioneer reserves the right, however, to raise or lower this opening bid, at his complete discretion In the event there are two equal advance bids, the bid received earliest will be accepted.
All items remain the property of Alliance Coin & Banknote until final payment settlement.
Auction purchases may be settled by Visa, Mastercard, Debit (for instore settlement only), cash, email payment or Paypal, as well as by cheque for known customers. Purchaser may deduct 30% for payment in U.S. funds.
All lots have been described to the best of our ability and are guaranteed authentic, however all purchases made by absentee bidders may be returned for a full refund within 5 days of receipt.
All absentee purchases will be shipped at cost by Canada Post Air Post, Express Post, Expedited Post or Federal Express, depending on size and value.
Our auctioneer has requested adherence to the following schedule of bidding-increments, and any bids not in accordance with this schedule will be raised accordingly.
- $5 to $100 ($5)
- $110 – $250 ($10)
- $275 – $750 ($25)
- $800 – $1500 ($50)
- $1600 – $3000 ($100)
- $3200 – $7000 ($200)
